Volkmar Nickol

An experienced hand in the architecture business, Volkmar has planned projects big and small, won competitions and overseen his desings being built. The Turkish Embassy in Berlin is just one example and plans for a school in Benin, West Africa are currently under way. Architectural tours have always been a natural side effect for him. Whether with friends, for a group of 50 students from Mexico City or a renowned Swedish architectural firm: Volkmar passes on the knowledge he has acquired to others, having already worked as a lecturer at german, turkish, colombian and mexican Universities. Vokmar is also politically active and views being an architectural professional as a social responsibility. He likes complex and diverse buildings like the Philharmonic Hall or the Bikini House in the City West. His place of residence? A typical Berlin paradox: in Mitte on Prenzlauer Berg.
