After years of stagnation, social housing is once again on the rise in Berlin. Among the first to successfully create affordable housing were so called „Baugruppen“, private building initiatives that have brought forward innovative architecture.
Today housing cooperatives and investment companies alike are reviving Berlin‘s history of innovative housing.
This tour leads you to selected projects in the district of Prenzlauer Berg. It can be done by public transport, by bike or by bus. We can organize interior visits in selected buildings upon request.
