Martina Rossi

Martina views architecture as an interactive discipline closely linked to material, cultural, and social processes. In addition to her master’s degree in architectural and urban history, she works as an architect and researcher with a particular interest in experimental prototypes and new forms of building with biomaterials. Previously, she worked for four years at Topotek1, where she contributed to large-scale building and public space projects. For her, communicating architecture is an extension of this work: she enjoys sparking curiosity and aims to encourage people to take a closer look at the city, to reflect on what shapes it and how it, in turn, shapes us. She particularly enjoys giving tours of Berlin Mitte, as the city’s different layers, its transformations, and gentrification processes are especially visible there. Originally from Buenos Aires, Martina now lives in Kreuzberg, where she enjoys the neighborhood’s diversity and dynamism as well as its proximity to Tempelhofer Feld.
