Impact Hub Berlin

The community and coworking space opened in 2022 on the Vollgut site in Berlin-Neukölln and offers event rooms, offices and flexible coworking areas for a young generation of start-ups. The rooms in the former barrel loading hall of the Kindl Brewery were designed by the Berlin office LXSY according to the principles of ‘New Work’ and divided into two levels by the installation of a wooden gallery. Caught between ‘use as is’ and ‘upcycle’, the focus of the planning and implementation was on reusing components – around 70% of the materials and furniture used are recycled or sustainable. However, there is no trace of second-hand design: despite the use of a wide variety of materials, the rooms surprise with their homogeneous and high-quality design.
