All eyes on Neukölln

Transformation and new city concepts

What makes the Schillerpromenade so magical and how are experimental urban development projects being pushed forward today? The new architectural tour starts in the Schillerkiez neighbourhood and showcases the new buildings from the partially deconsecrated cemetery site on Hermannstraße to the Rollbergsiedlung housing estate.
Initiated by a foundation, an impressive urban development project is being built on the former Kindl brewery site: the Vollgut site aims to make one of the large industrial wastelands in Neukölln available for social, creative and ecological uses in the long term. The CRCLR House is part of the area: the project is dedicated to a sustainable building process using ecological and recycled building materials. The architects are designing a project for different users that will bring the theme of sustainability into the city.
