Heinz Jirout

Heinz takes care of the preservation of the historical monuments at Tempelhof Airport. As an architect, he has been involved in many exciting projects in Berlin, such as the Prussian Parliament, the GSW high-rise and the Neues Museum. His Museum Island tours are peppered with insider knowledge that will make your ears prick up. He likes multilayered and complex buildings like the Central Station, the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church or the Neues Museum. He lives in Schöneberg, where he particularly appreciates the heterogeneous structure and the people who live there. And when architecture is not on the menu, Heinz roams the palaces of Berlin and Potsdam and browses through digital and analogue picture archives.
