Adriana Kapsreiter

Adriana is an art historian and works as a research assistant at the Bauhaus Archive / Museum für Gestaltung. Her research topics are Walter Gropius, modernist architecture and the Bauhaus. She also hosts the podcast “About Bauhaus” – so she is our expert in this field. Therefore she particularly enjoys accompanying the tours from the Bauhaus Archive to the Kulturforum and the tour to the Schillerparksiedlung – a little-known neighbourhood that tells a lot about how progressive housing construction once was! It is particularly important to her to make architecture and the stories behind it a lively experience for groups. On her tours, she invites you to travel back in time, pin-pointing the buildings historically and building a bridge to the present day. Her architectural insider tip for Berlin is Peter Behrens’ AEG site near Humboldthain. She raves about the impressive facades on Voltastrasse and the inner courtyard – a dream in brick and definitely a journey back in time to the era of industrialisation in Berlin.
