Allard van der Hoek

Originally trained as an architect, Allard now works as a successful architectural photographer in Berlin and Amsterdam—two weeks here, two there. He is a prime example of the Guiding Architects network. In Amsterdam, he leads tours for our network partner architour, and in Berlin for TICKET B. German and Dutch are both his native languages, and he also gives guided tours in French and English. In Berlin, Allard lives in the Hansaviertel, in a magnificent high-rise building set in the middle of a park. When you hear him explain his apartment in just two minutes, you immediately understand how clear, precise, and sensitive his tours are—and that, at heart, he has remained an architect.
